This assignment, from spring of my 1st year of Architecture School, was to design a studio space for a sculptor within a set of strict restrictions.

As this was first year, all drawings and models were drafted and built by hand. The rendering was created using photoshop from a hand drawn sketch.

From the original plan, 3 versions were made using different organizational schemes- Cellular, Frame and Infill, and Parallel Walls. The 3 plans were then combined into a hybrid scheme. This original sketch was modified to create the final plan. The ideas from the plan were also carried over to other areas of the design in elevation and plan.
